In my research of economic development sites as well other industries I found that GNO really needed to be more than a repository for business development tools, incentives, and rankings: It needed to stand apart from its peers. The site needed to raise the regions profile as well as illustrate the up and coming business climate. My solution was to create a unique user experience using a J-query parallax, tilt shift photography, and info-graphics that would work together to better tell the story of GNO. The idea here was build a case for GNO using a parallax that allows users to quickly access answers to questions, statistics, and rankings about business in the area. I believe this unique experience as well as the overall design of the site sets it apart from its peers.
